“There is much I need to atone for…” She says in a quiet voice barely above a whisper, a voice that for the most part is swallowed up by the noises of the crackling falls nearby her, the rustling wind as it passes through the leafy trees, and chirping and chittering noise of several animals that call this meadow their home. Once, a long time ago, Mysa would have called this place her home. She would have called the creatures around her her friends and she would have been right. But lately things had felt odd about her home. There was something about it, something was off. It no longer felt like the safe haven she had grown to love over the many decades. It felt different almost foreign to her. A sad whisp of a sigh escaped her ruby lips, as the wind gingerly caressed her soft skin, embracing her in a way that no man ever would.
She knew what was wrong, though she didn’t want to admit it. In truth she had known for some time now what this feeling that now permeated the very air around her was. She knew why the animals looked at her with uneasement now, or why the crackling waterfall didn’t sound as inviting before, she even knew why the berries of her favorite tree tasted just a little bit bitter. She knew this wasn’t her home anymore. A life time of fighting a war against her own father had graced her with this paradise oasis, a place as close to heaven if ever there was one. It was, or so she believed, her way of being thanked by the universe itself for her great deeds, but she was no longer welcomed here. Not like before anyways. She had use magic and deceit to achieve what she wanted done, she ahd twisted the life of a poor innocent girl to suit her own means, and in the process damned herself. Only a little bit mind you, a tiny stain upon her soul, but a tiny stain is still a stain. She imagined, briefly, that perhaps her father started out this way. Slipping up here and there, bending the rules as it were slightly to fit his own needs. Then more each tmie until the rules no longer held any sway over him at all.
A cold shutter ran down her spine, as the cruel thought of just how alike she and her father were truly. The realization settled in like a cold front wedging itself deeply into the pit of her mind, where it would stay forever. Another shutter ran down her spine. She needed to atone for what she had done, find some kind of peace in the cruelty she had done, and what better way than by serving, by helping those she had harmed? She would seek out the legion, ask to join there ranks become one of them and aid the entire universe if need be. They wouldn’t refuse her would they? They sorely lacked any mystical knowledge she was needed. Surely they would see that! She reasoned with herself as she stepped closer to her scrying mirror summoning up the very image she wanted. The entrance to the head quarters. She would greet them on the premise of being friends, for in truth that was what they were, but then would ask them to allow her to join. Zoe held no ill will towards her, so why should the others? She again reasoned with herself as she stepped away from the mirror, twirling her hands in a specific manner hoping she had enough energy within her to cast a long distance teleportation spell.
-BZZZZZATTTT---
The loud noise emited all around her before engulfing her in a haelstrom of light, and before she knew it, before she could even blink an eye, Mysa found herself transported through space itself, reappearing not before the Legion’s HQ, as she had originally intended, but within it. It seemed she had not quite gotten her magic under control as she had thought. Being returned to her youthful form was both a blessing and a curse bestowed on her by her father. Her decades of fine tuning her magic was all gone and she had to ocne more start from the beginning. It was proving to be harder than she had originally suspected, but she was not about to give up.
