It seems there's been some confusion on the different affiliations, recently, so I thought we should have a guide here explaining them.
Legionnaires: For all the members of the Legion of Superheroes. OCs cannot be Legionnaires. If you're going to play a Legionnaire that is not in the Post-Zero Hour continuity, you don't start here, you have to become a Legionnaire via roleplay. Canonical Cadets and Substitutes may move into this category via roleplay, but should you wish to do so, contact an Admin first.
Substitute Legionnaires: For all the members of the Legion of Substitute Heroes. OCs cannot apply as a Substitute Legionnaire. If you want your character to become a member of the Legion of Substitute Heroes, it must happen via roleplay. If you want to play a Substitute Legionnaire that is not in the Post-Zero Hour continuity, you may apply for them as a Substitute Legionnaire. You do not have to do so via roleplay.
Legion Cadets: For all Legion Cadets, hopefuls that are training to hopefully someday be a part of the actual Legion. OCs cannot apply as a Legion Cadet. If you want your character to be a Legion Cadet, it must happen via roleplay, not starting out as one. If you wish to play a Legion Cadet (or a Legion Academy member) that is not in the Post-Zero Hour continuity, you may apply for them as a Legion Cadet. You do not have to do so via roleplay.
Science Police: For all members of the Science Police. OCs can apply to be a member of the Science Police, without roleplaying it out, and it is the same for any members of the Science Police from a continuity other than Post-Zero Hour.
Vigilantes: For all heroes unaffiliated with any of the aforementioned groups. NOTE: It is highly illegal for someone to be a vigilante in the United Planets, and anyone doing so will be promptly caught and arrested. Unless you want your character thrown into jail very quickly, all vigilantes must occur on planets outside of the United Planets. The Second Galaxy would be a perfect example. If you need clarification on this subject, please contact an admin.
Villains: For all characters that are breaking the law and, well, opposing good. Fairly easy subject, all villains, but it is worth noting that the likelihood of you going by without being arrested is very low. In all likelihood, you will be arrested, escape, lay low, then be caught again... The Science Police and the Legionnaires are quite good at stopping villains.
However, as a villain part of the Credo in the second galaxy, you are likely to do much better, though following under Singularity.
Civilians: If you're just a normal person, or simply don't fit into any of these categories, this is the spot for you. In all likelihood, if you want your character to become a Legion Cadet or join the Legion of Substitute Heroes, then you should start out here.
If you have any questions regarding what's on here, please contact an admin!
