(This thread is Pre-Planet Hell.)
How absolutely irritating. Incredibly annoying. Simply... Terrible, In Querl's perspective.
All he could do was bunch himself up in the blanket he had appropriated. It wasn't as if the unassigned dormitory with the wide open door, located across from his, was going to be needing it anyways. Querl was itching to be anywhere but his dormitory right now: The space was too open compared to what he was accustomed to back on Colu. It was unnerving, and almost made Querl feel vaguely homesick. Almost. Since the lab was closed right now, under the premise that the previously acidic lab table was being repaired, Querl didn't know where else to go. Not to the cafeteria, grife no- That place always had people. Too many people, actually, and it never ceased to make him feel extremely uncomfortable. The gym offered the same problem, and it wasn't as if Querl was itching to participate in physical exercise.
It was a miracle he had stumbled upon the rec room. Completely empty, no less. Perhaps nobody was interested in watching television, or playing the games provided? It was something for Querl to muse about, when he held the blanket tighter, and compressed himself into a corner of the couch.
Then of course, he heard footsteps. His eyes widening a bit, hands grasping for more of the blanket to hold close. The last thing he wanted was conversation. Perhaps... Perhaps whoever it was simply was passing through...
